  The LOA-005 measures path-averaged crosswind and turbulence from distances of 100 meters to over 10 km. The eye-safe transmitter and receiver simply need to “look” through the area to measure the airflow. It's maximum path length of 10 km makes large areas easy to handle. Applications include measuring plume dispersion, aircraft wing tip vortex, runway crosswinds, airborne particle dispersion. LOA technology has been approved by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Environmental Technology Laboratories (ETL), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
